“I believe my primary job as a pediatrician is to provide high quality care to my patients. Secondly, and equally important, a pediatrician should be adept at collaborating with parents and caregivers. A good pediatrician is like a teacher and a coach for parents and caregivers, ensuring that they are informed about the medical decision-making process and empowering them to ask questions and keep them informed. Third, I strive to create a friendly and relaxed environment while in the exam room. A trip to the doctor can be anxiety provoking for the patients and their families; kindness needs to be a central element to patient care.”
